The South Haven fishing community took Veterans out on Lake Michigan for the morning. Returning with their catch, they were greeted at noon by a flotilla of boats led by the SHAES fireboat. A large American flag floated above the channel from the SHAES tower truck. Salutes were offered by the South Haven High School Purple Pride marching band and the American Legion Post 49 Honor Guard. A flyover was conducted by the Hooligans Flight Team. American flags by the hundreds were waved by the hundreds of people who lined the Black River Channel.
