Coach Brad Adamson had several talented wrestlers this season as South Haven and provides various comments on each one.
Senior- Jocelyn Saucedo “wrapped up her high school wrestling career this weekend as a three time state qualifier, two time placer, finishing 5th in 2024 and 3rd in 2025 in the 110 pound girls division,” Adamson said. “Her third place finish this year puts her as the highest girls state placer South Haven has had, and is the highest overall placer since 2008.
“Jocelyn finished this season with a record of 39-13(28-4 against girls). She amassed an impressive 108-43 overall record through three years as a varsity wrestler, against both boys and girls. 77 of those wins came by way of Fall. She is a two time team captain and two time conference place winner for the Rams, finishing as a conference champion in 2025.”
Senior Mikey Yelding “wrapped up his high school career this weekend as a state placer, taking sixth place in Division 3 at 150 pounds,” Adamson said. “Mikey finished this season with a 42-12 record. He had an impressive 124-65 overall record with a whopping 290 career takedowns. Mikey was also a team captain, two time district champion and three time conference place winner for the Rams.”
Senior Jose Garcia “wrapped up his high school career this weekend as a state placer, finishing eighth place in Division 3 at 126 pounds,”Adamson said. “Jose finished this season with a record of 43-9. His career record was 95-45 after being out most of his sophomore year due to injury. He amassed an impressive 115 takedowns in his senior campaign and had 225 over his career. Jose was also a two time conference place winner for the Rams, finishing as a conference champion in 2025.”
Senior Lex Specchio “finished this season with a 28-15 record, and a career record of 80-75. Lex was a one time conference placer, two time regional qualifier and team captain for the Rams,” Adamson said.
Junior Zayden Rowland “finished this season with a 33-15 record, and a career record of 95-47. He is a three time conference placer, and two time regional qualifier for the Rams,” Adamson said.
Junior Emily Thomas “finished this season with a 20-8 record. She took third place at conference and was a regional qualifier this year for the Rams,” Adamson said.
Sophomore Tyler Morehouse “finished this season with a 24-21 record. He finished this season as a conference placer for the Rams.”
Freshman Kaelyn Adamson “wrapped up her freshman season this weekend as a state placer, finishing 8th place in the 120 pound girls division,” Adamson said. “Her freshman all-state accomplishment puts her as only the second South Haven wrestler to do so. She finished this season with a 34-15 record(32-13 against girls). 30 of those wins came by way of Fall. Kaelyn was a conference champion this year for the Rams.”
Freshman Amber Knight “finished this season with a 30-14 record. She was a conference place winner and a regional qualifier this year for the Rams,” Adamson said.
Freshman Gabriel Saucedo “finished this season with a 21-18 record,” Adamson said. “He was a conference place winner this year for the Rams.”
