State Police investigate shooting, minor injuries to victim, suspect arrested

PAW PAW – Paw Paw post troopers are investigating a shooting where a 33-year-old Paw Paw man was shot and treated at the scene for minor injuries, Tuesday night, June 10, in Antwerp Township, according to a press release from Michigan State Police Paw Paw post.
A 49-year-old Paw Paw man was on charges of assault with intent to murder and felon in possession of a firearm. He was transported to the Van Buren County Jail.
The shooting, which occurred at 8:50 p.m., at 31626 Red Arrow Highway, Antwerp Township, stemmed from a dispute, though details are still under investigation. No other injuries occurred.
Paw Paw and Mattawan police departments assisted at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
