MARSHALL — The Marshall Redhawks hosted Sturgis for a swim and dive meet last week, and although the Trojans posted five first-place finishes, Marshall came away with a 98-78 win.
In the 200 Medley Relay, Caleb Hahn, Gavan Miller, Aiden Owsley and Reece Miller swam to a first-place time of 1:59.02. The 200 & Freestyles had Reece Miller posting times of 2:08.47 and 5:55.87, while in the 200 Freestyle Relay, Gavan Miller, Caleb Hahn, Dylan Kurzeja and Reece Miller finished with a time of 1:46.60.
The 100 Breaststroke saw Gavan Miller grab first in a time of 1:12.93, and in the 400 Freestyle Relay, Aiden Owsley, Logan Garbine, Dylan Kurzeja and Vallen Wagner placed first in 4:30.56. Sturgis also saw two career bests on the day, as Aiden Owsley swam to a time of 1:02.10 in the 100 Freestyle, and Caleb Hahn finished in 1:05.75 in the 100 Freestyle.
