According to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on Thursday, Jan. 15 at 6:39 p.m. at the area of Featherstone Road near Taylor Road. Deputies claim the driver of a Mercury Mariner was traveling westbound on Featherstone Road when they struck a deer and lost control due to icy road conditions. That vehicle then crashed into a Chrysler Town and Country that was traveling east on Featherstone.
