Explore the alluring town of South Haven by participating in the inaugural Pure Michigan Trail Town Challenge. The event began on September 2 and goes on through October 31, complete the challenge and receive a special limited-edition prize. The goal is to visit and check in at designated locations around South Haven, thoughtfully selected to showcase the town’s unique charm, natural beauty, and rich history.
South Haven was recognized in the spring of 2019 as a Pure Michigan Trail Town by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Travel Michigan. The Pure Michigan Trail Town Challenge has been launched to encourage exploration and appreciation of South Haven’s natural beauty and charm. The recognition recognizes the community’s commitment to developing, promoting, and preserving the town’s scenic trails on land and water.
The Pure Michigan Trail Town Challenge offers the chance to explore 11 unique locations across parks, trails, and preserves. The challenge adds an element of fun as participants track their progress and check in at each location. Upon completion, you can visit the South Haven Visitor’s Bureau to claim a commemorative South Haven Pure Michigan Trail Town hat as a reminder of this special event.
The challenge is not only a way to explore the outdoors but also a means to connect with the community and appreciate the town’s efforts in conservation and tourism.
