Three Rivers planning preventative sewer maintenance in 2nd District

THREE RIVERS — The City of Three Rivers announced Wednesday there would be preventative maintenance being performed on sewer mains in the second district of the city.
The maintenance is expected to begin Monday and be completed by Thursday, April 2 using high-pressure water jets. City officials say some residents, while work is being done, may experience an odor coming from their drains. To reduce the chances of odor, they recommend adding water to all floor drains, keep toilet lids closed, and place a towel between the lid and seat if possible.
The second district of the city is located south and east of the St. Joseph River. Any questions regarding the project can be directed to the city’s Department of Public Services at (269) 273-1845.
