Thrower leads Bloomingdale girls

BLOOMINDALE — Rowan Hegelmann had a strong throwing season for Bloomingdale’s girls track and field team.
Hegelmann threw the shot put 33-01.00 in the regionals for third place and narrowly missed qualifying for the state meet.
Hegelmann was a senior and won all of her meets prior to the regionals. She was 35-8 at the SW10 meet in Comstock, and 36-7 in the Comstock Invitational. She had her personal record of 37-5.75 in the WP League jamboree.
Hegelmann threw the shot 35-2 at a SW 10 meet at Centreville and 34-4 at Bangor in a multi-team meet at Bangor.
Bloomingdale hosted a meet on May 6 and Hegelmann threw the shot 35-3.5. At the Gobles Invitational, Hegelmann won with a throw of 35-4.
She also threw the discus and had a PR of 101-5 at a WP jamboree. She won a SW10 meet at Comstock with a throw of 87-3.
In a home meet at Bloomingdale, Hegelmann took first with a throw of 95-2.
