Trinity Lutheran supplies free food to area children

Trinity Lutheran School and Church, Paw Paw, recently started a new mission, Feeding Kids Ministry. Currently, there are over 30 children in Paw Paw Public Schools and Trinity Lutheran School enrolled in the program, which provides a weekend supply of nutritious food for children when school lunch and breakfast is unavailable on a weekend or school holiday. Students and congregation members pack food side by side. Each food bag contains two breakfasts, two lunches, two snacks, one can of vegetables, one can of fruit, and additional items (milk, fruit, etc.). All food is provided to children free of charge. Triunity Lutheran School Principal Allison Hug said, “It is our hope that these resources will support the health, behavior, and achievement of every student who participates.”
