Village of Paw Paw pays tribute to its volunteers

PAW PAW – A Volunteer Recognition Night was held Tuesday, March 10, at St. Julian Winery’s Apollo Banquet Hall, where the Village of Paw Paw paid tribute to volunteers who had served on boards, commissions or committees.
Paw Paw Village Council President Roman Plaszczak said, “Every volunteer here is valuable to the Village of Paw Paw.”
Special Recognitions were given to two individuals, Mary Lou Hartwell and Kathy Larson, each with more than 30 years continuous service.
Hartwell said in receiving her award,” I’ve loved the village of Paw Paw since the first day I moved here. I’ve worked with so many amazing, talented people over the years.
Other volunteers honored included David Bogen, Barbara Carpenter, Marilyn Clear, Sara Cox, Sheila Croy, Sue Danielson, Jason Deibler-Love, Marty Deming Maytnier, Paul DeYoung, Maria Diaz, Rod Dragicevich, Tom Drake, Marcos Flores, Robin Griffin, Jean Gregory, David Guimond, Jewel Hurn, Nadine Jarvis, Dave Jones, Ellen Jones, Kim Jones, Kip Kerby, Patrick Lynch, Mary McIntosh, Christopher Moraitis, Kimberly Otten, Tom Palenick, Mike Pioch, Julie Pioch, Terri Simpkins, Chris Smith, MaryBeth Sons, Mary Springer, Eddie Thomas, Frank Thomas, Adele Thomas, Janet Wartman, Anna Wawra, and James Whelen
