The Lake Michigan weather buoy that provides information to anglers and boaters off the shore of South Haven was returned to port for the winter months on Saturday.
The buoy is maintained by LimnoTech of Ann Arbor in collaboration with the South Haven Steelheaders, City of South Haven, and VanBuren County. 100% of the funds for this station come from local contributions. First deployed in 2014, its information is available to the public on a real time basis between April and November.
