$7k raised for TRAM at annual Walleye Dinner

Three Rivers Area Mentoring held its annual Walleye Dinner and silent auction fundraiser Saturday at the Three Rivers Fraternal Order of Eagles, serving 175 dinners and raising approximately $7,000 for the youth programming nonprofit.
TRAM Executive Director Mary Yost said Saturday’s event was one of the biggest turnouts for the event she’s ever seen, at one point running out of the signature walleye and serving pollock about an hour and a half into the event. “That was a great problem to have,” Yost said.
The event honored the students who participate in the program, and also honored longtime volunteer Toni Tole, who received an award for her years of service to the program. She is pictured at left on the right with mentee Thalia Evans (left).
In all, Yost was appreciative of the support given to the organization.
“It shows us that the community appreciates what we’re doing and how hard we’re working for the youth in our community and their families,” Yost said. “We have the best families, the best kids.”
