Alice M. Johnson

Alice M. Johnson passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 at her home. She
was born May 24, 1956 in Allegan; the daughter of the late Robert and Robenia
(Burson) Johnson. The youngest of nine children, Alice was often referred to as
the “Baby”. She was a 1974 Allegan High School graduate. She had been
employed at Hoffman Paper Products, Pine Oaks Nursing Center, and later at Tru-
Heat Corporation for twenty-three years. Alice had a love for singing and music
from childhood which carried into her adult years. She also enjoyed crafts,
photography, working outdoors and train rides. She attended the Allegan
Assembly of God.
Surviving are her siblings, Edna Peak, Jurien “Pete” Johnson, Ethel Morrie, Mary
Johnson and James Johnson; three nieces and six nephews. She was preceded in
death by her parents; brother, Richard “RB” Johnson; two sisters, Ella L. Johnson
and Martha E. Johnson; brother-in-law, Harold Peak; and sister-in-law, Alice
Johnson.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to Allegan Life Care, Allegan City Police
and Michigan State Police for all of their help.
Friends may meet with the family on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 11:00 AM to
12:00 PM at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel where services will be
held starting at 12:00 PM with Pastor Paul Hays officiating. Interment will follow
in Oakwood Cemetery with a luncheon following at the Hartman Conference
Center. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice.
