HASTINGS—The Allegan girls swim & dive team secured a commanding victory over Hastings on Tuesday, Oct. 1, by a final score of 105-73.
This win continues the Tigers’ undefeated streak, bringing their conference record to 4-0.
The Tigers’ individual event winners included Maddie Antoviak, who dominated both the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly; Bella Festerling in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke; Grace Kelley in the 50 freestyle; Lilli Kelley in the 200 freestyle; and Lizzy Ehrich in the 500 freestyle.
Second-place finishes came from Mari Nistal Palacios in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke; Lilli Kelley in the 100 butterfly; Audrey Penrod in the 500 freestyle; Eliza DeLaet in the 100 breaststroke; Bailee Dilley in diving; Lizzy Ehrich in the 50 freestyle; and Grace Kelley in the 100 freestyle.
Allegan also swept the relays, winning the 200 medley relay (Antkoviak, Penrod, Festerling, Barnhart), as well as both the 200 freestyle (DeLaet, Barnhart, Grace Kelley, Ehrich) and 400 freestyle (Lilli Kelley, Grace Kelley, Zoey Hammer, Bella Festerling) relays.
“This season, we’ve demonstrated a remarkable combination of skill and teamwork, with the girls consistently supporting each other to reach new heights,” Allegan coach Carol Gephart said. “Their dedication to improvement, both individually and as a team, has been a key factor in their success.”
