The Allegan girls swim & dive team came home with a 92-89 win over Portage Northern in its first meet of the season.
Bella Festerling had the team’s only individual top honors, winning both the 50 and 100 freestyle, while also qualifying for the Division 3 State Meet in the 100.
The 200 free relay team of Eliza DeLaet, Maddie Antkoviak, Sarah Suarez and Festerling also placed first.
“It was the strong depth and teamwork of the team that enabled us to come away with the win,” Allegan co-coach Carol Gephart said.
Mikayla Reimink placed second in the 100 backstroke with a D3 State Meet qualifying time. Antkoviak placed second in the 50 freestyle.
In the 200 freestyle, Lilli Kelley and Odessa Barnhart placed second and third, respectively, while Sarah Suarez and Audrey Penrod went two-three in the 500 freestyle.
Antkoviak, Rainah Spohn and Olivia Penrod placed second, third and fourth, respectively, in the 100 butterfly.
Allegan also placed second and third in both the 200 medley and 400 free relays
