Deputies investigate fatal accidents

ALLEGAN – Allegan County deputies investigated on Monday at 6:21 p.m. when first responders were dispatched to a fatal injury crash on M-40 Highway near Lake View Drive in Trowbridge Township.
Deputies, along with Allegan City officers, were on the scene and found that it was a single vehicle accident and the only occupant, the driver, had been thrown from the vehicle. Life saving measures were immediately applied but the operator died from the injuries sustained in the crash.
Deputies said evidence indicates that the driver of the vehicle was traveling south on M-40 when he controlled and crashed into a tree.
The Allegan County Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash.  The identification of the operator was not being released until next of kin is notified and the investigation is complete.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office said it was assisted by Allegan City Police Department, Gobles/Pine Grove Fire Department, Allegan Fire Department, Life EMS and the Allegan County medical examiner’s office.
The afternoon of June 3, first responders were called to a fatal injury crash involving a SUV and a motorcycle on Patterson south of 136th Ave in Wayland Township. 
An Allegan County deputy, who is contracted with Wayland Township, applied life saving measures but the motorcycle died from the injuries sustained in the crash. Deputies indicated the southbound SUV turned eastbound in front of the northbound motorcycle. The Allegan County Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash. 
The identifications of the operators are not being identified until the families are notified and investigation is complete.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Michigan State Police, Wayland Fire Department, Yankee Springs Fire Department, Wayland Area EMS, and the Allegan County medical examiner’s office.
