Early in-person voting for the Tuesday, Aug. 6, primary election began at municipalities throughout Michigan on Saturday, July 27, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 4.
Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each of those days in the City of Otsego and the City of Plainwell. Otsego Township polls are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Polls at all locations throughout the state will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. as usual on Tuesday, Aug. 6.
The early-voting mandate is the result of a ballot initiative passed by voters in 2022.
Under provisions of the mandate, municipalities in Michigan are required to hold at least nine days of early voting. Locations must remain open at least eight hours on each of those days.
