FARWELL — Farwell’s baseball team swept Coleman 7-2 and 10-2 in nonleague action last week.
Game 1: Farwell 7, Coleman 2. Game 2: Farwell 10 Coleman 2
Game 1- Wyatt VanBuskirk had 3 rbis. Mason Esterline, Blake Sholes, and Ayden Barkley each stole multiple bases. Farwell stole nine bases.
Game 2- Wyatt VanBuskirk and Ayden Barkley each had two hits. Mason Esterline and Chrystian Schuldt each stole multiple bases for the Eagles. Farwell stole 12 bases all told
“We finished 11-19 for the regular season,” coach Christian Jorgensen said. “I believe this is only the second time in 10 years that the Farwell Varsity baseball program has had double digit wins in a season. I am proud of these boys. They keep improving every year.”
Farwell’s season ended on Tuesday in a district first-round game at Evart against Reed City.
Mason Esterline took the pitching loss for Farwell. He went four innings allowing six runs and three earned on four hits striking out three and walking four.
Gavin. Brown, Mason Esterline, and Wyatt VanBuskirk led Farwell with one RBI and one hit.
