A Farwell teacher posted an apology on the Farwell Area Schools Facebook page after she apparently responded to a media post by Nicole Brown, titled, “Nothing an assassination can’t take care of,” with the message, “Normally, I would never wish this on anyone, but now…and let’s hope for a 2fer… And “We have ALL lost. Just many of us don’t realize it yet.”
She posted the comments on November 6, the day after Trump won the election.
Ashley Parker, a K-5 art teacher with Farwell Area Schools who was reportedly also upset with the Presidential Election outcome, posted the reply agreeing with the remark on social media, in response to the post by Brown.
Her comment raised an uproar in the community with some Farwell Area Schools District residents calling for her to be fired from her job at Farwell Schools. There were over 200 responses on the school’s Facebook page.
One person posted, “The school posted her public apology on their Facebook and then blocked all comments. She is allegedly still employed at the school. These are the people teaching your kids.”
Another posted, “Hey Farwell Area Schools, when the Secret Service has to investigate your teacher Ashley Parker, is that a good look for you? Fire Ashley Parker.”
Parker posted an apology November 14 on the FAS Facebook Page that said, “I am deeply sorry for the comment that I posted the morning after the election. As the parent of a young child and as an educator, I know that my words and actions are closely watched by those around me, and I am fastidious about my behavior at all times because of this fact. I am ashamed that I let my emotions get the better of me in that moment. I am not that person. I understand that my actions may have broken your trust and for that, I am truly sorry.”
She continued, “Those who know me, know my strength of character, and know the kind of person that I aspire to be in this world. I made an egregious error, one that will not happen again. I take full responsibility for my words and I am willing to reflect on this experience and learn from it, so that I can become a better person. I am committed to upholding the values and standards that I strive to live by.”
Parker concluded, “I hope that you can find it within yourself to forgive me and my actions. Thank You, Ashley Parker, K-5 Art.”
Following her post, comments were turned off on the matter on the School’s Facebook page.
She has not been fired.
This teacher apologized, but it cannot be forgotten.
This harsh rhetoric must stop on both sides. We need to make a truce. Unity is the key. Peaceful & caring talk needs to be done by all for healing to occur. This needs to happen.

Recent history shows the only way to stop narcissistic behavior is to jail or execute them. Get educated.
Her comments seem to be the norm for the Marxist Socialist Communist Democrats. They attempted to kill Republicans at a baseball practice with a AR15. Then they fly all across the country to assassinate a Supreme Court justice. Then twice they attempted to assassinate Trump and stopped a third attempt. The they threaten to kill conservatives just because we don’t accept their agenda to destroy America. Yep that’s what this teacher represents and the Marxist Socialist Communist Democratic Party represents
And now you know why trump’s going to gut the department of education. I certainly don’t want teachers that shove their political ideals down our kids throats. Like my granddaughter who thought she was way for years because her teachers told her she was. As well as the rest of port huron schools. It really messed her up until she figured out she’s really straight.
We are a country that says we believe in free speech. A man who suggested one of his opponents be put in front of a firing squad is now our president elect. This was on a social media post not the school web page, not in the class room. Not at a school board meeting and not in the local media.
The media twisted what Trump said. I’m a vet. I know exactly what he meant. If paper pushers had to go to the front they’d think twice before putting these kids in front of a firing squad. This is why fake news media has no credibility.
Evil whore.
And what the f are you?
That they turned off the comments is telling, they really don’t care what the parents (constituents) think, they are going to do what they want. Vote those types out.
There’s only one reason why the powers that be have not fired her and that’s because they agree with what she posted, it’s just that simple!!!!
Her political views should have nothing to do with her school teachings, Her political views shouldn’t be in our class rooms with our children or on any school public forum!!! Why hasn’t she been fired yet? This should have been done immediately after her comment.
She’s not apologizing for the thoughts of the comment, she’s apologizing for putting it on Facebook and getting called out on it. Her thoughts are still to murder somebody which is horrific!! I wouldn’t want my children, or anyone’s children for that matter, to be taught by somebody like her. Is that who you want for your child’s role model or mentor??
Fire her
