LAWRENCE – Lawrence Public Schools has named Noah Wiswary as the district’s new director of athletics and dean of students, according to a press release from the school district.
A graduate of Olivet College, Wiswary achieved a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and will complete his master’s degree in business administration in August 2024. Wiswary currently serves in the athletic department at Olivet and “is eager and passionate to begin working with Lawrence students and community members,” according to the press release.
While new to the position of athletic director and dean of students, Wiswary’s experience competing in and working with collegiate level athletics has him well prepared for this position, according to the press release.
LPS Superintendent Gretchen Gendron, said, “Noah’s vision aligns with our district mission, and he identifies the importance of connecting with and supporting our Lawrence students. He promotes a strong work ethic and perseverance as the foundation of his work. I am excited for Tiger Nation and the energy Noah will bring to our school district.” Wiswary will begin his position on Aug. 12.
