LAWTON — Lawton’ soccer team delivered a dominant performance Friday night, shutting out Coloma 8-0 to improve to 5-3 on the season.
Junior Lilleonah Mandujano paced the offensive surge with a hat trick, while Senior Maya Tag and Juniors Allyson French and Gabi Mendez each added a goal. Freshmen Joanna Casarrubias and Maddie Vette also found the back of the net, showcasing the Blue Devils’ depth across all classes.
Lawton’s attack was relentless from the opening whistle, combining sharp passing with sustained pressure that kept Coloma on its heels all night. Contributions came from all over the field, with assists credited to Mandujano, Jaelyn Auton, French, Casarrubias, and Amelia Benavidez.
Defensively, the Blue Devils were just as impressivecoach Abby Burris said. Sophomore goalkeeper Lila Karsen recorded her third shutout of the season behind a steady backline featuring Benavidez, Emily Schubert, Gabby Hayes, and anchored by senior standout Taylor Whipple.
The highlight of the night came on a perfectly executed play between cousins, as Allyson French delivered a precise cross that Maddie Vette finished in stride with an impressive backside volley.
With the win, Lawton closes out its four-game homestand with three victories.
