Man drowns at TriPonds resort

An incident occurred at the TriPonds Family Camp Resort in Valley Twp at 3:30 on Saturday where a 60-year-old man drowned.
Officials from the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the man was found unresponsive in the water by people at the resort, who attempted to provide lifesaving efforts until first responders arrived.
Around 3:18 p.m., the Allegan County Central Dispatch received reports of the drowning. First responders quickly took over aid and transported the victim to Holland Hospital, where he died.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office has not released further details or the identity of the man as the investigation is ongoing.
