A man who fell into a corn storage bin Wednesday was safely rescued by emergency personnel.
The Mt. Pleasant Fire Department got the call to assist in the rescue in northeast Isabella County at 7:31 am June 26 a press release from Mt. Pleasant Fire Chief Doug Lobsinger.
The rescue team went into the corn bin, and removed corn around the victim so they could install a “shoring container,” enabling corn around the victim to be pulled out of the bin to safety at 10:44 amthe release said.
The trapped man was pulled to safety. He didn’t have any major injuries and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
The MPFD and Mobile Medical Ambulance Service assisted Isabella Northeast Fire Department in rescuing the worker.
