New $800k ice rink begins construction

Workers install a maze of wire support structures in anticipation of the construction of the new ice rink at South Haven’s downtown pavilion.
The $800,000 project is intended to improve the winter-time ice skating rink with a more efficient in-pad cooling system. The work is being doing in phases with the first to be completed in time for the use of the pavilion by the popular farm market in the summer months. The second phase will be completed in time for next winter’s ice skating season.
