








Deputies with the Clare County Sheriff’s Office executed several search warrants over the weekend, resulting in multiple arrests related to methamphetamine.
On Friday, February 26, deputies responded to 202 Barbara Lane in Hayes Township in an attempt to locate 40-year-old Kyle Willard Giddings of Harrison, who had an outstanding arrest warrant. Upon arrival, a deputy observed several pipes and a white crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine in plain view.
The occupants of the residence were detained while a search warrant was obtained. They were identified as:
Craig Glenn Giddings, 36, of Harrison
Casey Alan Morgan, 42, of Harrison
Cierra Michelle Smith, 28, of Harrison
A fourth male subject (not charged)
During the search, deputies located a personal-use amount of methamphetamine, Suboxone strips, pipes and syringes used to ingest methamphetamine, and located ammunition.
Craig Giddings was charged with:
Controlled Substance – Possession of Methamphetamine
Maintaining a Drug House
Casey Morgan was charged with:
Controlled Substance – Possession of Methamphetamine (Second or Subsequent Offense Notice)
Possession of Ammunition by a Prohibited Person
Additionally lodged on two active arrest warrants
Cierra Smith was charged with:
Controlled Substance – Possession of Methamphetamine (Second or Subsequent Offense Notice)
Controlled Substance – Possession of Analogues (Second or Subsequent Offense Notice)
All three were arraigned in the 80th District Court in Clare County. Bond was set at $20,000 (10%) for Giddings and Morgan. Smith’s bond was set at $12,000 (10%).
Second Search Warrant
During the initial investigation, deputies obtained information regarding narcotics activity and a possible location of Kyle Giddings at 5287 Apache Trail in Hayes Township. A search warrant was executed at the residence of Amanda Marie Demille, 41, of Harrison.
Deputies located glass pipes with methamphetamine residue, needles, and spoons used to consume methamphetamine.
Demille was charged with:
Controlled Substance – Possession of Methamphetamine (Second or Subsequent Offense Notice)
She was arraigned in the 80th District Court in Clare County and bond was set at $7,500 (10%).
Arrest of Kyle Giddings
On Saturday, February 27, deputies located Kyle Giddings back at 202 Barbara Lane. He was arrested on his original warrants and additionally charged with:
Maintaining a Drug House (Second or Subsequent Offense Notice)
He was arraigned in the 80th District Court, and bond was set at $20,000 cash.
Additional Arrests
Deputies also received information regarding the possible location of Corey James Lane, 50, of Harrison, who had a warrant for absconding from parole. Lane was located at a residence on East Arnold Lake Road in Hayes Township and arrested on his warrant.
During that contact, deputies encountered Trever Charles Gottschalk, 41, of Beaverton. Deputies observed suspected methamphetamine near Gottschalk and located a police scanner in his possession.
Gottschalk was charged with:
Controlled Substance – Possession of Methamphetamine (Second or Subsequent Offense Notice)
Police Radio Scanner – Use in the Commission of a Felony
He was arraigned in the 80th District Court in Clare County, where bond was set at $20,000 Personal Recognizance. He remains lodged on a parole violation.
Lane was lodged in the Clare County Jail on his outstanding warrant.
Final Search Warrant
As a result of information gathered throughout the investigation, deputies secured a search warrant for a residence at 4191 E. Monroe Road in Hatton Township belonging to Kayla Marie Earls, 35, and Dominic Ryan Tyler, 32, both of Harrison.
The warrant was executed Sunday, February 28, at approximately 1:40 a.m. Deputies seized:
Over 106 grams of methamphetamine
59 Suboxone strips
Scales and packaging materials consistent with narcotics distribution
Kayla Earls was charged with:
Controlled Substance – Delivery/Manufacture of Methamphetamine
Maintaining a Drug House
Possession of Analogues
She was arraigned in the 80th District Court in Clare County. Bond was set at $50,000 cash/surety.
Dominic Tyler was charged with:
Controlled Substance – Possession of Methamphetamine
He was arraigned in the 80th District Court in Clare County. Bond was set at $15,000 (10%).
This investigation remains ongoing.
