
Dana Nessel, Michigan Attorney General, Addressed the Crowd at Rally
South Haven Indivisible Raised $624 for the First Congregation Church UCC Food Pantry during their No Kings 2 protest on October 18, 2025.
Volunteers collected the money as they walked through the crowd of over 2000 people who gathered on both sides of Phoenix Road in South Haven to say no to kings and voice their support for the constitution and democracy.
The Rally portion of the No Kings 2 protest organized by South Haven Indivisible featured Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel who spoke about the devestating efffect that budget cuts to Medicaid and other federal programs will have on Michigan. Those affected include the moderator Blanca Hinojosa’s son Rio. Rio participated in the Rally. His sign says: My Disability Does Not Define Me. But My Healthcare Can! I Am Rio.
The First Congregation Church UCC Food Pantry serves people living in: 49013 Bangor, 49026 Bloomingdale, 49027 Breedsville, 49043 Covert, 49056 Grand Junction, 49063 Lacota, 49090 South Haven and 49416 Glenn. The pantry is open 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon – Monday, Wednesday, & Friday and is located at the church, 651 Phoenix St., South Haven, MI.
We live in South Haven and drove by several times. I think you exaggerated the numbers by about 20X! There wasn’t even several hundred!
