Dawn Marie Wells, 69, of Allegan, MI passed away Monday, May 6, 2024 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. Born April 7, 1955 in Lansing, she was the daughter of Bonnie (Maloney) Showers and the late Norm Showers. Dawn had tended bar at Sherwood’s Cove for over twenty years. She later went to work with Chrysalis providing home health care. Her clients were like family to her, and they loved Dawn’s fun and spunky spirit. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, looking for asparagus, foraging for mushrooms and the occasional scratch ticket. Above all, Dawn would say that her greatest role was being a mother to her three boys. They were the light of her life.
In addition to her mother, Dawn is survived by her sons, Daniel Wells and Joe Diskin; brother, Norman Showers, Jr.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Allen Wells; and her brothers, Kirk Kingsley, Jim Kingsley, Mark Showers and Harry Showers.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at Chicora Country Chapel, 4399 108th Avenue, Allegan, MI 49010 on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
