Obituary-Dawn Yvonne Snyder

Dawn Yvonne Snyder, 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Park Place Assisted Living in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was born August 7, 1946 to Bruce and Stella Kolhoff in Allegan MI.
Dawn took her love of sewing and started her career working at Friedlens Coat Factory in Allegan. When Friedlens closed she transitioned her skills to the Haworth Seating Plant in Allegan. After retiring from Haworth, she continued to help friends with her sewing skills by reupholstering furniture, motorcycle and old car seats.
Dawn will be remembered for all her life’s quotes, her sense of humor and her whole body laugh. She was an avid reader especially of Harlequin Romance. Her favorite past time was riding over to Lake Michigan to watch the storms roll in.
Dawn was preceded in passing by her mother, Stella Kolhoff, whom she referred to as her best friend. Together they rode the countryside enjoying their love of dogwoods in bloom, thrifting and yard sales to add to her collections of porcelain dolls, salt and pepper shakers and porcelain eggs. She especially enjoyed receiving porcelain eggs from friends as they traveled the world.
Left to cherish her loving memory are her father, Bruce Kolhoff; her four children, Bonnie (Ernie) Pullen, Brandy (Frank) Mannon, Heather Snyder and adopted son, Nathan Snyder; siblings, Allen Kolhoff of Nevada, Victory Miller, David (Barb) Kolhoff, Tim (Mel) Kolhoff and Tony (Linn) Kolhoff; along with many wonderful nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In accordance with Dawn’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dawn’s name to the Rose Arbor Hospice, 5473 Croyden Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Gorden Funeral Residence is assisting the family with arrangements.
