Faye Margaret Poet, age 92, of Clare, passed away at Medilodge of Midland on June 3, 2024.
Faye was born September 18, 1931, in Coleman Michigan to Neva Jones and Art Richmond. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1949.
She married Joseph Varga on February 17, 1950 in Isabella County. They had a daughter Deonna (James) Dunn.
She married Joseph Poet on November 7, 1953 in Clare County. They had three children, Connie LaLonde, Debra Poet, and Catherine (Mark) Manderbach.
Faye was previously employed as a Telephone Operator for Michigan Bell Telephone Company, a teacher’s aide for Clare elementary school and a Salesclerk at Her Place in Clare.
Faye is survived by her children, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren with another on the way soon, 3 great great grandchildren, a niece, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her spouses, parents and brothers Dick and Denny.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s, the American Heart Association and the Ronald McDonald House.
