Jeannette F. Strouse, age 89 of Clare, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 at Pioneer Golden Estates in Clare. Jeannette was born the daughter of the late William and Pearl Lucinda (Clark) Coleman on November 6, 1934 in Belding. She was united in marriage to Charles Strouse on December 31, 1955 in Belding. He preceded her in death on March 9, 2022. After her marriage to Charles, Jeannette moved to Clare; she had worked as a ParaPro for the Clare Public Schools. Jeannette enjoyed camping, fishing, canning and sewing; she enjoyed wintering in Lakeland, Fl with Charles. Her greatest love was being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the Coleman Wesleyan Church.
Survivors included her children, William (Mary Jane) Strouse, Charla Phillips and Aaron (Leane) Strouse all of Clare; her grandchildren Carol, Carrie (J.P.), Crista (Ryan), Nichole, Dustin (Kalli), Hannah, Karrah, and Baylee (Fiancé Bryce); her great-grandchildren Zach, Jackson, Caleb, Anna, Savannah, Austin, Logan, Penelope, Grace, Willow, Paulie, Sven, and Lander. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Paul Phillips, a grandson Matthew Phillips and a great granddaughter Sydney Ackerman, as well as seven siblings.
Visitation and services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Clare on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 12 noon with Pastor Scott Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pioneer Golden Estates Activities Fund. Arrangements were handled by the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.
