Obituary: Pearl “Aunt Pearl” Maude Hubble

We will gather to celebrate the homegoing of a truly remarkable soul, Pearl “Aunt Pearl” Maude Hubble, who was called to her eternal rest on the 13th of April, 2024. Born on the 24th of June, 1938, in the quaint town of Bastrop, Texas.
Pearl was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. She walked through life with a faith that could move mountains, a love that knew no bounds, and a creativity that brightened the world around her. Her beloved husband, Jerry, for 63 years stood by her side as a testament to true partnership and devotion. Together, they raised a family that became her pride and joy: Mary (Ron) Pruett, David Hubble; Greg (Maggie) Hubble, and Keith (Tracey) Hubble. Her sisters, Aurora Ellison and Susan Estrello, shared in the tapestry of her life’s story. Pearl’s legacy further blossomed with the laughter and wonder of 14 grandchildren and the sweet embrace of 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Lucille Villarreal, siblings: Florence, Raymond, Ruby, and Ernie.
A faithful member of Fostoria Baptist Church, Pearl lived her life as a testament to the grace of our Lord. She served her church with a heart full of compassion and hands ready to uplift others. Her interests reflected the beauty she saw in the world, from the delicate intricacies of antiques to the loving care she bestowed upon her home.
Pearl’s life was a living example of the words of the Apostle Paul: “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13). Indeed, love was the cornerstone of her existence, a love that was both tender and fierce, a love that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she touched.
Funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Jansen Family Funeral Home – Columbiaville. Pastor Steven Henry officiated. Pearl was laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Pearl may be made to the Fostoria Baptist Church. Share memories, condolences, and pictures with the family at www.jansenfuneralhome.com.
