Polly Ann “Frankie” Edington, age 88, passed away June 25, 2024 at her home in Three Rivers, Michigan.
She was born in Kentucky and spent her teenage years in Kentucky before she move to Three Rivers. She worked at adult foster homes in Three Rivers.
Polly married R.J. Edington on June 13, 1999.
She was a member of Grace Apostolic Church of White Pigeon, where fellow parishioners were her family.
Polly was great at crochet, she created afghans quickly and gave afghans to all parishioners at church. She even tried to teach those willing to learn how to crochet. She was an exceptional cook and loved to color intricate coloring pieces that should have been hung on the wall. Above all she was a good friend with a caregivers heart, she would never let you leave her house empty handed. Polly loved her church family and all the kids at church viewed her as a Grandma. She was such a sweetheart.
Polly is survived by her step daughters: Libby Thompson, Betsy Thompson and Nikki Fitzgerald; great friends: Marsha and William Wood, Barbara Black and Lucy Chitwood, Josh, Bonnie, Vaughn and Loretta Schanick; church family that treated her like their Grandma especially: Caleb, Reese, Logan and Titus Proffitt.
She is preceded in death by parents, husband: RJ Edington, siblings and good friend Jean Schanick.
Guests will be received, Monday, July 1, 2024, from 11:00AM-12:00PM at Ray Funeral Services. Services will begin at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Pastor Jason Proffitt of Grace Apostolic Church of White Pigeon will officiate. Following the service cremation will take place. Inurnment of the cremated remains will be July 9, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan.
