OTSEGO—The Otsego girls tennis team picked up a pair of Wolverine Conference victories by matching 5-3 scores.
The Bulldogs beat Sturgis on Monday, April 22, after besting Edwardsburg on Wednesday, April 17.
Against Sturgis, Otsego got singles wins from No. 1 Aly Aldrich (6-3, 6-0) and No. 2 Lexi Layman (6-2, 6-4). Emerging victorious in doubles were No. Sydney Grile/Anna Moore (6-0, 6-2), No. 2 Ellie Korringa/Hailey Burd (6-2, 6-0) and No. 4 Dani Sallee/Emilia Harainen (6-0, 6-4).
Four of those five flights also prevailed against Edwardsburg: Aldrich at No. 1 singles (6-1, 6-1); Layman at No. 2 singles (6-3, 6-1); Grile/Moore at No. 1 doubles (6-1, 6-0); and Korringa/Burd at No. 2 doubles (4-6, 7-6 (6), 6-4).
Also winning was No. 3 doubles Cierra Swope/Reaghan Higgins by a score of 6-2, 7-5.
