PAW PAW – Paw Paw varsity baseball traveled to Parchment on Friday for a nonconference doubleheader and swept a pair.
In game No. 1, the Red Wolves bats were on fire and collected 17 hits and the Red Wolves cruised to a 15-2 win.
Players who had multi hit games included Drew, Landon Buhl, Maverick Johnson, Jacob Major, Jake, Gunnar Goodell, and Ryan. Gunnar and Jake each had 3 hits. Drew had a double and 2 RBIs, Jake Hindenach had a double, triple and 3 RBIs, Landon added a triple, and Jacob added 2 RBIs. Maverick threw a 7 inning complete game, allowed 2 earned, and struck out 6. The defense turned 3 double plays to get out of jams.
In game No. 2 the bats stayed hot for 12 hits and won 12-2. Gunnar pitched 4 outstanding innings, allowed 1 ER and struck out 6 for the win. Leading the hitting attack was Jake, Jacob, Maverick, and Landon. Jake was 2-4 with a triple and 3 RBIs. Jacob went 2-for-4 with a double and 3 RBIs. Maverick was 2-3 with 2 RBIs. Landon had two hard hit singles. Nate crushed a deep triple with 2 RBIs. Ryan, Gunnar, and Carson each singled.
The Red Wolves record now stands at 9-4.
