Sheriff looking for 13-year-old who drove off in dad’s car

ALLEGAN – The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release on Sunday that it is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 13 year old Zander Canales, who drove away from his residence in Valley Township with his fathers 2006 Chrysler 300.
Zanders family has not heard from him since he left on Feb. 2 and believes he may be with unknown friends in the Holland area, deputies said 
The 2006 Chrysler 300 is cream in color, has lots of chrome, an eagle on the front grill and a “cross” sticker on the trunk area, deputies.  The license plate attached to this vehicle is “5MVP98”.
Deputies have said if anyone is aware of Zander’s location, or have information leading to his whereabouts, they should please contact the Allegan County Central Dispatch Centers non emergency line at 269-673-3899 or Allegan County Silent Observer at 1-800-554-3633.
On Monday morning, Allegan County Sheriff sent out a press release that the vehicle has been located in Holland City after a citizen called in a tip of the vehicle’s location.
Deputies and detectives are still actively following up on tips on locating Zander.
“Any information is greatly appreciated on his whereabouts,” deputies said in a release.
