On June 8th, 2026 , Allegan County Dispatch received a 911 call stating that there was an accident on 106th Ave and 11th St in Gun Plain Twp. During the preliminary investigation, it appears that a vehicle that was southbound on 11th St failed to yield to a westbound semi-truck that was hauling crushed asphalt. The semi-truck lost control and overturned on 106th Ave spilling the crushed asphalt. The driver of the semi-truck was pinned in the truck for sometime before they were able to be removed. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries.
The intersection of 106th Ave and 11th St is going to be closed for an extended period of time while the investigation continues. Please avoid the area.
