South Haven softball loses

SOUTH HAVEN — Both teams were strong in pitching on Tuesday, April 21, but Coloma was just a little bit better at the plate in 3-2 victory over South Haven’s softball game. Addison Dekoning started the game for South Haven and recorded 21 outs.
Coloma got on the board in the top of the fourth inning on an RBI single and two-run doubles.
Harris earned the win for Coloma. She gave up three hits and two runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out 11 and walking four.
Dekoning took the loss for the Rams. She went seven innings, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out eight and walking one.
Reagan Hahn and Madi Duda had one RBI apiece for South Haven Varsity Rams. South Haven didn’t commit a single error. Hahn had the most chances in the field with nine.
Groendyk, the number seven hitter for Coloma, led the way with two runs batted in. She went 2-for-3 on the day. Harris and Groendyk each collected two hits for Coloma. Coloma turned one double play in the game.
