Two arrested on drug, firearm charges

CONSTANTINE — Two people were arrested on multiple drug and firearm charges following the execution of a search warrant Tuesday.
According to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office, the search warrant was executed Tuesday at a residence in the 200 block of Meadow Lane in Constantine, following what they say was an investigation into suspected drug activity.
During the investigation, deputies claim that methamphetamine was being distributed from the residence, and during the search, found meth and a stolen handgun inside the home. A male and a female from the area were taken into custody at the scene. Both individuals were found to be in possession of methamphetamine and the stolen firearm.
The pair were lodged at the St. Joseph County Jail, where they are held pending arraignment on charges of operating and maintaining a drug house, possession of methamphetamine, felony firearms, and possession with intent to distribute.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s office was assisted by the Centreville-Constantine Police Department, Three Rivers Police Department, and White Pigeon Police Department.
