Adventure begins at the Van Buren District Library

DECATUR – Starting Saturday, June 8, the Van Buren District Library extends an invitation to everyone to pick up a reading log and begin a great summer adventure. This year’s summer reading program theme, “Adventure Begins at Your Library,” promises a summer packed with excitement and Exploration, according to a press release from VBDL. The program is open to all ages, from newborns to senior citizens. Participants can read, earn prizes, and attend events at any of the library’s branches throughout the summer. The program continues until Saturday, Aug. 3.

HOPE Center to Hold Open House

HARTFORD – Hope Center (Helping Ourselves Pursue Excellence) will hold an open house, Thursday, May 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.at 57418 County Road 681, Suite B, Hartford.

The open house will celebrate Mental Health Month and individuals can learn about the Clubhouse Model of mental health recovery at Hope Center.
There will be a taco bar and other refreshments.
