On March 12, Dan Gould, educational assistant at Eastwood Elementary School, took life-saving action involving a student who was choking in the cafeteria. On April 13, Gould received recognition from both Sturgis Public Schools and Sturgis Department of Public Safety, at the board of education’s regular meeting.
