Kevin D. Allen, age 54 of Gladwin, formerly of Lake, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at home. Kevin was born the son of Richard and Daisy (Phelps) Allen on December 19, 1966 in Goodrich. He had served his Country in the U.S. Army for 12 years; and had worked for the Leer Corporation in Farwell for 8 years. He was united in marriage to Terry Ingleston on September 19, 2011. Kevin had been an active Firefighter with the Surrey Twp. and Garfield Twp. Fire Departments. While serving on the Garfield Fire Department he had held the position of Lieutenant, Safety Officer and Medical Officer; as well as being named Firefighter of the year in 2008. He had been active in the Eight Point Lake Parade and the Garfield Twp. Fishing Contest with became winter fest. Kevin and Terry had recently purchased their dream home in Arthur Twp., where he enjoyed sitting outdoors enjoying the view.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Terry; his mother Daisy Allen; a son Mark Allen; stepchildren Shawn Pompa, Jeramy Pompa and Melissa Beale; his brothers Kirk and Keith Allen and grandchildren Keith and Makayla Allen and Mariah Bencheck. Kevin was predeceased by his father Richard Allen.
