Small Business Saturday is Tomorrow
Tomorrow, November 30th is Small Business Saturday! Come and support your local businesses in the Clare, Farwell, and Lake Areas!
There’s truly something for everyone!
See a list of participating businesses on the Clare Area Chamber website. The list includes shopping at 51 area businesses and 24 area restaurants! Put your name into the drawing at each participating business for a chance to win a prize!
Children’s Craft – Christmas Ornament Dec.2

Holiday Art Night Dec 3
Clare High School is hosting a holiday art night on December 3 starting at 6. You will be painting a wooden Holiday welcome sign. Cost is $20. Contact the Art Department at the High School.
Surrey Twp Library Christmas Tree Ornament Workshop Dec 4
Surrey Twp Library is hosting a Christmas Ornament Tree workshop on December 4th from 6-8. Cost $20 which includes everything. Space is limited to 20 people. Reserve your space by calling 989.588.9782.
Crafts with Caroline – Christmas Wreath Dec 4
Come to the Harrison District Library, 125 W. Beech Street, Harrison December 4 from 1 to 3 pm to make a beautiful Holiday Wreath. Free craft, registration required: https://form/jotform.com.
Crafts with Caroline Dec 5 Pere’ Marquette District Library Dec 5
December 5 at 1 pm. Crafts with Caroline will be making Christmas wreaths.
Registration is required to ensure there is enough materials. Contact the Library to register.
Paint and Four Dec 5
Northern Michigan Alliance is hosting a paint and four. This is for children and their parents or a responsible adult. It is scheduled for December 5 at Hamilton Township Hall 3042 N Rodgers Ave, Harrison.
Coat Drive and Coat Giveaway in Lake Dec 7
There is a Coat Drive ongoing in Lake. They are accepting gently used donations of coats, hats, gloves, mittens, winter socks, snowpants and boots at Century 21 at 8302 West Ludington drive (Mon-Fri 10am-3pm); at Lake General Store, 9300 School Street (Sun-Thur 9 am-9pm and Fri-Sat 9am-10pm) and at Kaleidoscope Coffee & Gifts, 7791 Mystic Lake Drive.
Come to the Lake Depot in Downtown Lake Station for the Coat Giveaway on Dec. 7 from 11:30am – 5:30 pm and Dec. 8 from 11:00am-2:00pm. Stick around and SHOP and don’t miss the Tree Lighting at 5:30pm.
Holiday Craft Day at Jays Dec 7
On December 7th from 1 to 4 pm at Jay’s Sporting Goods in the Outback Room (8800 S. Clare Avenue), Don’t miss the youngsters opportunity to make a variety of crafts for loved ones this holiday season, or just to enjoy themselves or even to exhibit at the Clare County Fair next summer! The event is sponsored by MSU Extension 4-H and the Clare County 4-H Council.
A suggested donation of $5 per crafter will help cover supply costs. The public is welcome but all youngsters must be accompanied by a responsible adult or teen.

Create a fresh Christmas Centerpiece Dec 10
Please join Robin from Clarabella Flowers and let her guide you as you create a beautiful live Christmas Centerpiece. The class will take place on December 10 at 6 pm. Cost is $30. A $25 deposit is required. Please contact Carron at the number above.
PMDL Gingerbread House Decorating Party Dec 12
Pere Marquette Library is hosting a gingerbread decorating party on December 12 from 5-7. This is a free event.
Christmas Concert Dec. 12
Gateway Community Band will hold their Christmas concert on December 12 at 7:30. This will take place at the Farwell High School. This is a free concert.
4th Annual Harrison Lighted Christmas Parade Dec 14
Join or watch the 4th annual Christmas Parade, sponsored by the Harrison Fire Department. Line-up at the Harrison Fairgrounds at 5pm, Parade at 6 pm.
Kid’s Holiday Event at Surrey Library Dec. 14
Surrey Township Library is having a Kid’s Holiday Event at the Library. On Saturday December 14 from 10 to 12 youth ages 7 to 17 will be painting with the Elves. This is a free event. Space is limited. Call the Library at 989.588.9782 to reserve your space.
Holidays around the world Dec 14
Holidays around the world will be held at the Pere Marquette Library on December 14 from 11:30-1:30. Michigan storyteller, Lois Springnether Kell will be there. A limited number of books will be given out to attendees, complements of the CCAC. Free crafts from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. There are a limited number of free books for those who attend. The books are compliments of the Clare County Arts Council. From 12:30 to 1:30, There will be free crafts.
Breakfast with Santa Dec 14
Camp Rotary is hosting Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 14th from 8am-1pm. Admission is $8, kids 3 & under are FREE. Tickets will include an all you can eat buffet, crafts, Christmas games, and photos with Santa!
Farwell Winter Markets Dec 14; Feb 8
Farwell is holding two more winter markets, one this year and one after the New Year – . December 14, and February 8. They are from 9 to 1 and located at 124 W Illinois, Farwell. Contact Tonya for more information at tonya@villageoffarwell.org
Kari Lynch to perform at Ideal Theater Dec 17
Local musician, Kari Lynch will perform a Christmas Show at the Clare Ideal Theatre on December 17 at 7 pm. Tickets are $10 and proceeds will benefit Mid Michigan Community Action Agency. For information contact Mid Michigan Alliance at 989-386-3805.
