As America prepares to mark its 250th anniversary on July 4, the Paw Paw District Library presented the first of several events scheduled over the coming months as part of America 250. On Wednesday, June 3, the library’s Local History Librarian, Martha Deming Maytnier, and history buff and reenactor, Steve Rigoni, of Paw Paw, presented a special tour of Pioneer Cemetery, the first recorded cemetery in Paw Paw. The tour included a presentation by Rigoni of one of the cemetery’s permanent resident and Revolutionary War veteran William Dyckman, Jr.
