PAW PAW — Paw Paw split with Otsego on May 4, losing 9-3 and winning 4-0 in the second game.
Varsity baseball couldn’t overcome defensive miscues and lost 9-3 in the opener. Ryan Holmes and Caden Bowneach had a multi-hit game. Ryan went 2-3 with a double, BB, SB, and 2 runs scored.
Caden was 2-3 with a double, BB, 2 SB, and an RBI. Bryn Carlsen added a double and threw 4 gritty innings. Benny Flanders picked up the other hit. Landen pitched three tough innings.
In Game 2 the Red Wolves jumped on top early and were leading 4-0 in the bottom of the fourth before the storms rolled in and postponed the game. Caden was dominant on the mound and at the plate.
Caden threw all 4 innings, 0 ER, 1 H, and 11 K’S. Caden was also 2-2 with a deep solo homer. Ryan Holmes was 1-2 with an RBI.
Carson had a clutch 2 RBI single and SB. Benny added a single, run scored, and SB.
The Red Wolves are now 11-5-1.
